Yena Kim is an associate attorney at Madigan & Lewis, LLP.
Ms. Kim earned her JD from University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings College of the Law) and was admitted to the State Bar of California in January 2021. Prior to joining Madigan & Lewis, LLP, Ms. Kim was an associate attorney at a family law office in San Francisco.
During law school, Ms. Kim was an extern for the Honorable Richard Darwin at San Francisco Unified Family Court and a summer law clerk at the Family Violence Appellate Project.
She also served as co-chair of the nationally ranked UC Law SF Moot Court team and won Best Oral Advocate at the UNLV Frank A. Schreck Gaming Law Moot Court Competition. Since graduating, Ms. Kim has returned as an alumni coach for several UC Law SF moot court competition teams, including a team that won a national championship in spring 2023. Additionally, Ms. Kim was an editor of the UC Law Journal for two volumes.
Though primarily raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ms. Kim was born in Seoul, South Korea and speaks conversational Korean.
